Game one of the double header was a slugfest with the wind galling out to left field with the final scoring being 17-13 in favor of the Bears. The scoring started for Iowa Lakes when Austen Daliet (New Orleans, Louisiana) led off with a single followed by a Jimmy Mapakou (Vauréal, Île-de, France) single as well. Marcus Pronay (Innisfil, Ontario) would get a hold of one and hit his first collegiate homerun of his career over the left field fence to put the Lakers up 4-2. The scoring did not stop when Jayden Adrians (Green Bay, Wisconsin) got to first on a walk and Devin Brackin (Tampa, Florida) singled to left to make it runner on first and third. Andrew Eskens (Lincoln, Nebraska) would double over the right fielders head to bring in Adrians and Brackin to make it 6-2. DMACC would answer in the top half of the 4th to make it 7-6 Bears. Daliet and Mapakou would both reach base with singles. Spencer Keane (Palm Springs, California) would double to bring in Daliet and move Mapakou to third who would score on a passed ball 2 pitches later. Chipper Holland (Tampa, Florida) would hit a line drive over the left field fence for a 2 run homerun to make the score 10-7 after 4. The Lakers would held scoreless in the 5th inning, but would show some life in the 6th when Keane and Holland would both get on base with singles. Brackin would get a hold of one and launch it over the left field fence to give the Lakers some life, but would end up falling short 17-13 in game 1.
Logan Ferguson (Idaho Falls, Idaho) would get the start for Iowa Lakes going 3 2/3 with 2 k's. Lucas Gardner (Estherville, Iowa) would go 2/13 with 1k. Tomas Pinet (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) would strike one out and shut the door.
Game 2 would be a tough one to swallow for the Lakers as DMACC would come out swinging. DMACC would have a 3 run homerun in the third as well as a grand slam in the 4th and well as 2 more homeruns in the 6th in a 21 run outburst. Iowa Lakes would scratch across 4 hits but result in 0 runs and final score 21-0.
