GAME ONE: (Blackhawks 17, Lakers 4)

The Lakers watched as the game slipped away early in a 17-4 loss to the Blackhawks on Sunday.

The Lakers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Blackhawks, giving up 17 runs.

The Blackhawks started with Noel McGarry-Doyle (#6) singled in the first inning, scoring two.

Austen Daliet (#3) started the third inning off with a three-run home run to give the Lakers a chance, but it was not enough.

Chase Keeney (#9) got the win for the Blackhawks, the pitcher surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings and striking out five.

Jacob Gilbert (#11) took the loss for the Lakers. Gilbert went one inning, allowing eight runs on four hits and striking out two.

GAME TWO: (Blackhawks 17, Lakers 3)

The Lakers struggled to get their offense going, getting easily dispatched by the Blackhawks, 17-3.

In the top of the second inning, the Blackhawks tied up the game with Arturo Disla (#19) hitting a single to score one.

The Blackhawks scored ten runs through six innings. While the Lakers could only total three.

Andrew Long (#47) earned the victory for the Blackhawks. Surrendering only two runs on four hits through four innings and sitting down nine.

TJ Galleberg (#37) took the loss for the Lakers. The southpaw allowed seven hits and seven runs over five innings, while striking out three.

NEXT UP: The Lakers take on the Blackhawks again at home on April 12th, in Estherville, IA. Game times are set at for Monday at 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
