The Lakers faced DMACC in the weekend conference series, falling in game 1; 9-12, earning the victory in game 2; 12-11, and falling in the series finale 11-18.
In game one the Lakers scored 9 runs on 14 hits. Leading the offense were freshmen Ayden Wells (Homerun), Grant Dusatko (Double), and Kobe Peterson, all having 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Sophomores Blake Evans and Jace Embry (Double) both added 2 hits with Evans tallying an RBI. Sophomores Spencer Kober (Double), Johnny Marcos (Homerun), Boyd Jones and freshman Eliezer Rolon-Cruz all added a hit, with Rolon-Cruz, Marcos, and Jones adding an RBI apiece. Getting the start in game one was freshman Luke Holcomb, throwing 4.0 innings, allowing 9 runs (6 earned runs) on 6 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. In relief was sophomore Reggie York, throwing 3.0 innings, allowing 3 runs (1 earned run) on 5 hits, a walk and a strikeout.
In game two the Lakers scored 12 runs on 14 hits to earn the victory. Leading the way was sophomore Johnny Marcos, with 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Sophomores Jace Embry (homerun & double), Boyd Jones, and freshman Grant Dusatko (double) all added 2 hits. Embry had 4 RBI's and Marcos added 2. Freshmen Kobe Peterson (double), Ayden Wells, Eliezer Rolon-Cruz (double), and sophomores Spencer Kober (double) and Blake Evans having a hit apiece. Evans and Kober tallied 2 RBIs apiece, Peterson and Dusatko had an RBI apiece. Getting the start in game two was freshman Owen Glassburner, throwing 4.0 innings allowing 7 runs (6 earned runs) on 6 hits, 6 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Earning the save was freshman Joas Mercedes throwing 4.2 innings allowing no hits, no runs, 3 walks and 6 strikeouts.
In game three the Lakers scored 11 runs on 16 hits. Leading the offense was sophomore Spencer Kober with 3 hits (homerun) and 4 RBIs. Sophomores Jace Embry, 3 hits and 2 RBIs, Johnny Marcos, 3 hits (double), Boyd Jones, 2 hits (2 doubles) and 2 RBIs, and freshmen Grant Dusatko, a hit and an RBI, Jean Cartagena, a hit and 2 RBIs.
In the series, the Lakers had 11 extra base hits and 4 home runs and were led by sophomore Jace Embry with 7 hits and 6 RBIs. Freshmen Grant Dusatko had 5 hits and 4 RBIs, freshman Ayden Wells had 6 hits and 2 RBIs, and 3 walks, sophomore Johnny Marcos had 7 hits and 3 RBIs, and sophomore Spencer Kober had 5 hits and 6 RBIs.
