The Lakers wrapped up their season this weekend earning the series sweep over Northeast Iowa. On the weekend the lakers tallied 39 runs on 43 hits and 10 extra base hits.
In game one the Lakers scored 13 runs on 18 hits, taking the victory 13-7. Leading the offense was sophomore Boyd Jones with 4 hits and 4 RBIs. Sophomores Johnny Marcos, 3 hits and an RBI, Jace Embry, 2 hits (double) and an RBI, freshmen Kobe Peterson, had 2 hits (double), Ayden Wells (double), and Eliezer Rolon-Cruz had 2 hits and an RBI a piece. Sophomore Spencer Kober added a hit and an RBI, and freshmen Grant Dusatko had a hit and 2 RBIs, and Braxten Allen tallied a hit. On the mound in game one for the Lakers was freshman Luke Holcomb throwing 6.1 innings, allowing 11 hits 7 runs (7 earned runs), 3 walks, and 7 strikeouts.
In game two the Lakers scored 11 runs on 10 hits, securing the victory 11-2. Leading the Laker offense was Johnny Marcos with 2 hits (double) and 3 RBIs. Ayden Wells, Boyd Jones and Grant Dusatko all had 2 hits, Jones and Dusatko each had an RBI. Eliezer Rolon-Cruz (double)and Spencer Kober had a hit and 2 RBIs a piece. Getting the start in game two was freshman Owen Glassburner, throwing 5.0 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs (2 earned runs), 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. In relief was sophomore Reggie York, going 2.2 innings allowing 3 hits, no runs, a walk and 2 strikeouts. Sophomore Adam Timm went 1.1 innings allowing 1 hit, a walk, and a strikeout.
In game three the Lakers scored 15 runs on 15 hits, securing the sweep 15-10. Leading the Lakers was freshman Ayden Wells with 4 hits (2 doubles and a homerun) and 5 RBIs. Sophomore Jace Embry added a hit (homerun) and 4 RBIs. Sophomores Johnny Marcos, 3 hits and 3 RBIs, Boyd Jones and Ty Martin, 2 hits and an RBI a piece. Sophomores Spencer Kober (homerun), Eli Olson, and freshman Grant Dusatko all added a hit a piece, with Kober tallying an RBI. Getting the start for the Lakers was sophomore Preston Roberge throwing 3.0 innings allowing 3 hits, 4 runs (4 earned runs), 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. In relief, the Lakers combined allowed 7 hits, 6 runs, 5 earned runs, 4 walks, and 6 strikeouts.
