Laker starting gurad Dennis Joiner was named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference player of the week for the week of November 27- December 4th. Joiner a freshman is from Minneapolis Minnesota. 

Joiner recieves the honor just days after hitting a game winning 3 against NJCAA Divission 1 perennial Southeastern Community College. Iowa Lakes won the game 82-79. Joiner finished the game with 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists while going 7-9 from the floor including 3-4 from 3, and was 4-4 from the freethrow line.

"It's a great honor for Dennis to win this award, he has worked hard to put himself in a position to be a contributor to our program'" said Lakers Head Coach Troy Larson.

Joiner and the Lakers will host Dakota Wesleyans JV tonight at 7:30 pm and  Kansas City Community College Saturday, December 10th at 3 pm.
