Last week, Kyle Beisch averaged 29 points per game helping the Lakers collect two wins. In a Iowa Community College Conference matchup on Wednesday, Beisch scored 25 points and added eight rebounds in a 100-78 win over NIACC. On Saturday, the Lakers traveled up to the Minneapolis area to take on Dakota County. There Beisch scored a season-high 33 points in helping Iowa Lakes get the 84-66 non-conference win. Beisch's 15.8 points per game is a team best and good for third in the conference.
"Kyle is gym rat and has put in the time and effort to win this award and we are proud of him for those efforts," said Laker Head Coach Troy Larson.
Beisch is the 3rd Laker to win the award this season. Both Cody Cox and Dennis Joiner have won the award.
The Lakers are currently 12-5 and 2-1 in ICCAC play. They host # 1 Ranked and 20-0 Southwestern on Saturday. Tip will be at 3pm.
