Iowa Lakes Basketball Host Des Moines Area Community College Bears

Estherville, Iowa – Wednesday, March 1, 2017

 Iowa Lakes Basketball will play Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Bears on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 7:30 PM. 

 Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball is looking for the sweep on the season against the Bears.  In their first matchup, the Lakers had 3 players in double digits.  Kyle Beisch led the Lakers with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Tywon Bressler Jr. had 10 points and 6 rebounds.  Jaylon Tapplar finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds.  The Lakers defeated DMACC, 74-58.

 Currently, the Lakers are 19-8 overall and 6-4 in ICCAC conference play.  The Lakers fell to Southwestern this past Saturday, 68-86.  Joe Binyoti led the Lakers with 17 points and 7 rebounds.  The Lakers are looking to extend their home record to 11-1 this season.

 The Bears are led by #10, Wali Parks.  He is averaging 15.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game.  Guard, Shammond Ivory, is contributing 11 ppg.  Point guard Nibra White is averaging 10.7 ppg and 3.7 assists per game. 

 Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball will host DMACC Bears. Sophomore Lauryn Smith is leading the Lakers with 11.8 ppg.  Freshman Mia Wassink is averaging 10.9 ppg and 9.0 rebound per game (RPG).  Fellow freshman Lemia Ntor-Ue is averaging 10.2 ppg and 6.6 rpg.  They will tip off at 5:30 PM.
