"We know how difficult it is to come out of this district. Although our chances of qualifying as a team was a long shot, I was disappointed with how our team handled the adversity. I failed to prepare our guys for what to expect and how to handle it. That being said, I'm very proud of how Josh Matheason played. He maximized what his game could produce. The course favored the long ball with the wind and length. Josh fell short of his goal, but that doesn't diminish the outstanding career he had at Iowa Lakes," said Coach Myers. "I want to give a shoutout to Jayden Manthei. He was unable to finish his career as he had envisioned because of an injury. When we learned his season was over, he immediately asked to help coach for the remainder of the season. That's who he is, team first. I really enjoyed coaching this sophomore class and wish them the best as they move on!"
