Coach King had this to say, "I am very proud of what Alyssa and Karisa accomplished this year. They put in the time and work in the off-season and it is great to see that rewarded with this award. Karisa really became a defensive force for us this year. She played with a lot of spunk and a high softball IQ for us. Alyssa was a huge impact on both the offensive and defensive side of things. Offensively, she had the power numbers but also swiped a ton of bases for us. Defensively, she is one of the best outfielders I have ever seen. Both of these young ladies are very deserving and I cannot wait to continue watching them throughout their careers."
