The Iowa Lakes Softball team has continued their success in the classroom with another impressive semester. The team saw thirteen of their fifteen athletes awarded an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Academic All-Region award.

To be eligible for first team, an athlete must have a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0. Athletes on the team that received this status are Brooklyn Bode, Abby Burgess, Madison Goosmann, Alyvia Jensen, Jolene Jordahl, Myla Murphy, and Tatiyana Schack.

Athletes eligible for second team must have a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49. Student-athletes on the softball team that received this honor were Macy Alderson, Alexis Cullinane, Katelyn Hamm, Taylor Larson, Alayna Leighton, and Avery Somers.

"I am very proud of this entire team," commented Coach King. "Their efforts in the classroom are unmatched! Being a student-athlete takes commitment, time management, dedication, and so much more. These young women are building skills that are going to help them achieve so much in life. They are a great representation of this program and each of them should be very proud of themselves."
