(Emmetsburg, IA)   The Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Team hosted a shoot against Central Nebraska at the Palo Alto Gun Range in Cylinder, IA on October 11, 2025.  ILCC fell just a little short for the win with score being ILCC 468 and Central Nebraska 471.   The top 5 shooters for the Laker's were: Logan Warner 96, Jacob Grau-West 95, Elizabeth Schimmers 94, Olin Nelson 93, and Ethan Preston 90. 

In the men's individual competition Logan Warner  tied Central Nebraska with 96x100. In a shoot off both shooters broke 10 clays straight from the 16 yard line. Both Shooters moved backed to the 20 yard line with Logan missing the third bird to lose the shoot off for a Silver  Medal. In the women's individual competition Elizabeth Schimmers took the gold medal to go with her gold medal. 

The Lakers attend the state shoot on Friday October 17 in Ackley, IA

ILCC also hosted their first skeet event against Central Nebraska. ILCC had three shooters participate. Olin Nelson was able to bring home a silver medal and Elizabeth Schimmers was able to bring home a silver medal.
