The spring season has begun! Alyssa Schorg and Leah Becker opened their spring season with a 2-day tournament at Fort Dodge Country Club. Iowa Central's Invitational featured 7 teams. Simpson College (+83) finished on top after a very close battle with Briar Cliff University(+85) and Loras College(+86). The challenging conditions and early-season rust challenged Becker and Schorg. Leah Becker finished 36th, and Alyssa Schorg finished 37th. 

"It was evident that this was our first tournament after a long break from competition. I was pleased with how the ladies continued to fight, even though the ball striking and execution were frustrating. We knew this would be a tough challenge. It takes a tournament like this to understand the biggest weakness in our game and what practice will look like," said Coach Myers. "We'll flush the frustrating parts and continue focusing on our weaknesses at practice. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements coming up at Gates Park."
