Iowa Lakes Extends Win Streak with 50–6 Road Victory at Southeastern CC

The Iowa Lakes wrestling team continued its strong run on the road Thursday night, earning a dominant 50–6 victory over Southeastern Community College to extend its winning streak to seven consecutive duals.

The Lakers set the tone early and never looked back, controlling the pace of the match and piling up points across the lineup. Iowa Lakes collected wins in the majority of bouts, including several bonus-point performances, as the team showcased depth and consistency from top to bottom.

A standout performance on the night came from Dominic Chimeno, who secured a 10–5 decision in a match fueled by redemption. Earlier this season in December, Chimeno had been defeated by technical fall by the same opponent. This time, Chimeno stayed aggressive, limited scoring opportunities, and dictated the match to earn a convincing win and swing momentum firmly in Iowa Lakes' favor.

The lopsided road victory highlights the Lakers' continued growth and confidence as the season progresses. With seven straight wins now under their belt, Iowa Lakes will look to keep building momentum as postseason competition approaches.
