Juan Diaz enters his second year as a Graduate Assistant for the Men's Wrestling Program. In this role, he plays a key role in developing athletes and supporting the overall success of the program. With 2 years of coaching experience, Diaz brings a strong background in wrestling and a passion for helping athletes grow both on and off the mat

 As an assistant coach, Diaz specializes in skill development, film review, and academic success, working closely with athletes to refine their skills and prepare them for competition. He has contributed to the Lakers' Top 25 National Finish in 2025 and has helped guide individual athletes to reach new levels of success.

 Before joining the coaching staff, Diaz competed for Iowa Lakes and Wartburg College, where he gained firsthand experience and knowledge that he now passes on to his athletes. His coaching style emphasizes hard work, accountability, and building a strong team culture.
