September 27, 2025 | Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Iowa Lakes Community College libero Lorin Turkdogan reached a major career milestone on Thursday night, recording her 1,000th career dig in the Lakers' match against No. 4 Kirkwood Community College.

Turkdogan has been a cornerstone of the Lakers' back row since joining the program. This season, she ranks third in the ICCAC in digs per set (4.77) and is third in total digs with 396.

"Lorin is the anchor of our defense, and reaching 1,000 digs is a tremendous achievement," said Head Coach Taylor Menzies. "Her consistency, determination, and leadership in the back row set the tone for our team every match."

Turkdogan's milestone places her among the top defenders in program history and highlights her impact on the Lakers' volleyball program.
