October 8, 2025 | Estherville, Iowa – Iowa Lakes Community College libero and defensive specialist Lorin Turkdogan reached a career milestone on Thursday night, recording her 1,000th career dig during the Lakers' match against Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Turkdogan now sits at 1,084 career digs following the match and continues to be a defensive leader for the Lakers this season, averaging 4.84 digs per set. Her consistency, quick reads, and leadership in the back row have made her a cornerstone of the Lakers' defense.
"Lorin reaching 1,000 career digs is a great accomplishment and a reflection of her effort, energy, and leadership," said Head Coach Taylor Menzies. "She's the kind of player who gives everything she has every match and makes everyone around her better."
The Lakers will return to action tonight, Tuesday, October 8, when they travel to Mason City, Iowa, to take on North Iowa Area Community College at 7:00 p.m.
