NORFOLK, NE - The #5 Lakers traveled to Norfolk, Nebraska yesterday for a matchup with Northeast CC.  Iowa Lakes would get on the scoreboard early in the 7th minute with a goal from David Owusu assisted by Odal Brown. Brown played a ball through the backline for Owusu to run onto and finish. Ten minutes later the Lakers would score again from an Odal Brown assist, freshmen Kirubel Yerga would get on the end of Browns pass putting the Lakers up 2-0.

Not long after the Lakers would find the Northeast goal again with a diving header from Logan Roach compliments of Lewis Nohar extending the Laker lead to 3-0. Fifteen minutes before halftime Sophomore Odal brown would get his name in the goal column after a wonderful pass from Sophomore Sofian Maghouz. The Lakers would go into halftime 4-0.

The Second half was dominated by the Lakers again but only managed to score one more goal from Odal Brown assisted by Kirubel Yerga. The Lakers move to 3-0 on the season and will host Iowa Central at Home Thursday, April 15th at 12 pm.
