Kasper Wollstein got a hat-trick against Iowa Central last week. The Lakes had a 3-0 lead at the half, and Kasper had scored the second goal. Kasper then got two more in the second half, for the 5-0 lakers win. With these three goals this ties him in goal contributions with Haruya Higuchi, the both had 21 total contributions. Defending national Champions Iowa Lakes, and the #1 ranked team in the NJCAA, played last night in Mason City, Kasper got a goal and two assist putting him in the lead now with 24 VS Haruya's 22. The next game for the lakes and these two is Saturday in Sioux City, as they will play WIT.
Connal Doran made two saves this past week, both in the opening stages of the match, when it was 0-0. The eventual score of 5-0 looked lopsided, but as we know goals change games, and Connal was able to keep the game tied when the team needed it. This was his third clean sheet of the season. Connal has been sharing the minutes with teammate Louis Kruger, the way the support and push each other to greatness has been something fun to watch. Both, have had very good performances this year.
