Iowa Lakes went into the week with a chance at the regular-season title in the conference, with No. 18 Iowa Central standing in the way. Stepping up to the challenge was freshman Jugene Wessels, who scored twice and assisted another in a 3-0 win over Iowa Central. Wessels has been a critical player for the Lakers this year, with 20 points this year, leading the Lakers in goal contributions with seven goals and six assists. In the end, the win gave Iowa Lakes their first ever ICCAC regular season title
