The ICCAC released the All-Region team selections on Wednesday, to which 11 Lakers earned ICCAC All-Region honors. Coach MacRae said this about the selections, "Congratulations to all eight athletes for earning spots on the all-region teams! They've had exceptional seasons so far."
The Lakers earned 4 selections for First Team-All Region after winning the regular season conference championship, winning the NJCAA Region 11 Tournament, and winning the Plains District championship. The 2025 First Team All-Region selections were midfielder Sam Storey,
defender Jeremy Koppe, defender Florent Lefebvre, and goalkeeper Louis Kruger.
Coach MacRae had this to say about the first team selections "Our First Team group — Sam, Florent, Jeremy, and Louis — were central to everything we accomplished this season. They influenced games on both sides of the ball and carried a high level of performance from start to finish. Their quality, leadership, and composure in big moments were a major part of our identity. This recognition is well deserved."
The Lakers saw 4 more individuals selected, earning Second Team All-Region. Anwar Yusif, Sharif Nata N'tcha, Jugene Wessels, and Karim Saada. Coach MacRae said this about the second team selections, "Our Second Team selections — Anwar, Sharif, Jugene, and Karim — made significant contributions throughout the year. They embraced key roles, impacted games in important moments, and continued to grow as the season progressed. Their work played a big part in our success, and this honor reflects that."
Three more Lakers earned All-Region Honorable Mention, Rayan Perrot Bouzyiane, Jago Rafii, and Santiago Martin. Coach MacRae had this to say about "Our Honorable Mention players — Rayan, Jago, and Santiago — were steady, reliable performers who added real depth to our squad. They brought competitiveness to training and matches, strengthened our back line, and helped keep our standards high. Their recognition is a credit to the consistency they delivered all season."
"I'm very proud of the squad as a whole and delighted for their recognition. The depth, competitiveness, and togetherness within this group drove our season, and these honors reflect the strength of the entire program."
Also earning post season honors was Head Coach Ben MacRae. Coach MacRae earned Plains District Coach of the Year. This season coach MacRae led the Lakers to a 14-6-2 overall record and 7-2 record in the ICCAC.
Congratulations to the 11 Lakers who earned ICCAC All-Region honors, as well as the rest of the Lakers for an amazing season, which included the ICCAC Regular Season Championship, NJCAA Region 11 championship, the Plains District championship, and their 3rd consecutive trip to the NJCAA National Tournament.
