Three Lakers Earn NJCAA All-American Honors

Iowa Lakes Community College men's soccer celebrated an outstanding 2025–26 season as three sophomores earned NJCAA All-American recognition, highlighting the program's continued national presence and competitive excellence.

Goalkeeper Louis Kruger was named a NJCAA Second Team All-American, while midfielder Sam Storey and defender Florent Lefebvre each earned NJCAA First Team All-American honors.

Kruger started all 18 matches in goal and posted a 10-4-2 record, recording eight shutouts and a 0.96 goals-against average. His consistency and composure anchored a strong defensive unit throughout the season.

"Louis gave us confidence in every big moment this season," said Head Coach Ben MacRae. "His presence, leadership, and ability to come up with important saves were difference-makers for us. He's fully earned this All-American recognition."

Storey served as the engine of the midfield, starting 18 of 19 matches while contributing two goals and three assists. His ability to control tempo, win possession, and link play was central to Iowa Lakes' success.

"Sam earned this through his quality and consistency all year," MacRae said. "He made our team better in every phase of the game. To be recognized by both the NJCAA and United Soccer Coaches speaks to the level he played at week after week."

Lefebvre delivered an exceptional two-way season from the back line, tallying six goals and seven assists while excelling defensively. His impact on both sides of the ball set him apart nationally.

"Flo has been one of the best defenders in the country for two years, and this honor reflects that," MacRae added. "His ability to influence the game defensively and offensively is rare at this level. Being named an All-American by both organizations is a deserved reward for the standard he brings."

"I'm incredibly proud of these three," MacRae concluded. "They've represented Iowa Lakes at the highest level, and we're excited to follow their continued success as they move on to the next chapter."

The All-American selections underscore the talent, depth, and sustained excellence of Iowa Lakes men's soccer on the national stage.
