Boone, Iowa — Saturday, January 10 — The No. 16 Iowa Lakes women's basketball team earned a key ranked road victory Saturday afternoon, knocking off No. 17 DMACC 69–60 at the DMACC Fieldhouse in Boone.
DMACC controlled much of the first half and built its largest lead of the game at 11 points midway through the second quarter. The Bears still held a 10-point advantage with 1:48 remaining before halftime, but Iowa Lakes closed the half with momentum behind Shanya Glover.
Glover sparked a 7–0 run to end the second quarter, knocking down a three-pointer before stealing the ball and finishing a layup. She then secured a defensive rebound, drove the length of the floor, drew a foul on another layup attempt, and converted both free throws to cut the deficit to three heading into halftime.
The Lakers carried that momentum into the second half and took control in the fourth quarter, outscoring DMACC 27–21 to pull away for the nine-point win.
